NFL Alumni Charity Golf Classic Honoring Mike Lucci

NFL AlumniThe 33rd Annual NFL Alumni Charity Golf Classic will be held on Monday, August 6, at the Red Run Golf Course in Royal Oak, Michigan.

The tournament is part of the Alumni series, a nationwide golf competition conducted yearly since 1969 by NFL Alumni Foundation, a non-profit wing of NFL Alumni. The Foundation is composed of former professional football players, owners, coaches, administrators, and cheerleaders who have joined together to support youth charities of the NFL. Tournaments are held by regional Alumni chapters around the country, and winners compete for a championship ring at the Super Bowl of Golf.

Proceeds from the upcoming event at Red Run, located fewer than 20 miles from downtown Detroit, will benefit NFL Alumni’s Caring for Kids program and Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund.  Mike Lucci, a linebacker who played for the Detroit Lions from 1965-73 and still makes his residence in Michigan, will be honored at this year’s Classic.

NFL legends will be on hand, lunch and dinner will be served, and unique items will be auctioned off–all in support of a worthy cause.

But don’t arrive late!  Play begins with an 8am shotgun start.  To register call 248-528-2860 x229.
