The 1st Annual Jarrett Payton Foundation Golf Tournament will be held on Wednesday, August 29, at Ruffled Feathers Golf Club in Lemont, about 30 minutes from downtown Chicago. Founded in 2011, the Jarrett Payton Foundation (JPF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to positively impacting the lives of children and adolescents – physically, emotionally and psychologically – by creating and providing programs that present them with a wide variety of opportunities specifically designed to develop leadership skills and enrich lives. The Golf Tournament presents an opportunity to have fun and support a worthy cause, as all proceeds from this special day of golf, dinner, and entertainment will help to fund the two core JPF programs: PROJECT: NO BULL and the Jarrett Payton Academy, Football Camp.
The event features lunch and dinner, and games of golf ball launcher and scattered flags, in which $60,000 worth of prizes are placed around the fairway. Prizes include trips to Orlando and Las Vegas. Each player receives over $500 in gifts, is entered into a raffle, and can bid for various items in a silent auction.
Registration is at 11:00, followed by lunch, the tournament, and dinner. Cost of entry is $750 for a foursome. To register contact Trisha Payton at 847-922-3420 or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Jarrett Payton is the son of the late Walter Payton, former Chicago Bears running back and member of the NFL Hall of Fame. The younger Payton also excelled on the football field, playing in the NFL and several other professional leagues. Now retired from football, Payton hosts the The Jarrett Payton Show, an internet sports radio program, and heads the Jarrett Payton Foundation, which aims to improve the lives of youth.
